Built into the high-grade plywood bass reflex enclosure is a 500W power amplifier that drives the long-throw, cast-frame 15" driver. The amplifier uses Yamaha's EEEngine technology for greater performance and efficiency with low current draw, low heat, and reduced weight.On its back panel, the SW500 has dual XLR inputs (which accept either mono or stereo sources) and 2 sets of XLR outputs (one that passes a full-range signal and one that incorporates a 100Hz high-pass filter). To further enhance its sonic performance, the SW500 has a phase reverse switch and a control for adjusting low-end roll-off frequency.A polemount is provided for adding a full-range cabinet above the SW500.
