White shell with RM-FCB T-bar carrier and DA-4000 molded plastic case. Features exclusive Yamaha Air-Seal System shell and hoop construction plus 7-ply birch/mahogany shell that provides deep resonant tones with solid punchy attack. New lightweight aluminum arch-shaped lug casings allow the shell to vibrate more freely, are 50% stronger, and are 26% lighter. The whole drum is considerably lighter than earlier models. The 10-ply birch hoops have rounded outside edges which provide pinpoint tension. New wide-body claws offer greater tuning stability and reduce hoop damage from high-tension tuning. .213" tension rods provide reliable tuning without extra weight. Smooth white Ambassador head is internally pre-muffled with Yamaha Sound Impact Strips.
