Modern Drummer Festival Weekend 1998, which took place May 16 and 17, featured a diverse line-up of some of the world's most exciting and innovative drummers. The entire weekend's events were videotaped and the best moments of the festival are presented on this 2-tape series. Included are excerpts of each performance, plus interviews with each of the featured performers, as well as footage of other notable drummers who were in attendance. Volume One includes Dartmouth High School Drum Line (winners of the High School Division of the 1997 Winter Guard International Competition), Jeff Hamilton (Count Basie), Will Kennedy (Yellowjackets), Rod Morgenstein (Rudess Morgenstein Project).
