It has a different body shape and also departs from the Fender norm with tuning keys in a 2 + 2 arrangement on both sides of the headstock, a tilt headstock design, a new bridge that allows both string-thru and top loading, 3-band active EQ with boost/cut of 100k on each channel, and a 12" fretboard radius. More in the normal Fender groove are a P and J pickup combination (Deluxe P Bass and a Noiseless Jazz), an alder body, maple neck with a light tint, and overall quality of construction typical of Fender.
