Intended for the monitoring environment that requires high volume levels, they use the same design as the original TR8 with powerful independent amplifiers that deliver 150W of biamplified (100W LF; 50W HF) power to each monitor. Amplifier uses a high-performance toroidal transformer for superior noise characteristics and has an LED power indicator. Design employs a 2.6kHz, active fourth-order crossover. Also has RF interference, magnetic shielding, output current limiting, over temperature, turn-on/off transients, subsonic filter, and internal fuse protection. 8" LF driver has a mineral-filled polypropylene cone with 1-1/2" diameter high-temperature voice coil and damped rubber surround, is coupled with a 1" ferrofluid-cooled silk dome HF driver. Includes balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs, as well as unbalanced RCA ins. Frequency response: 35Hz - 20kHz, 3dB (-2dB @ 38Hz), ref. 500Hz.
