As Terry explains in his included Tuning Tips video, Attack heads marry perfectly to any shape of bearing edge. They have a subtle rounded collar that eliminates pre-tuned false pitches on the drumhead, nodes or dead spots, or crooked surfaces that prevent proper alignment and tuning.
